The Friends of the Belen Public Library recently made a donation to the Valencia County Literacy Council. Their goal is to advance literacy in our local area so they donated $200 to three organizations and we were one of those. 

The Valencia County Literacy Council offices have moved from the UNM Valencia campus to the El Cerro Community Center! 

The Valencia County Literacy Council was honored and extremely grateful to receive an ARPA award from the Valencia County Grants office.

VCLC’s services serve our community in many ways and so often those we are able to help go on to help others. We were very honored to hear from one of our service recipients, Berta Garcia at a recent Board meeting.

We are happy to announce that the Valencia County Literacy Council has joined the Greater Valencia County Chamber of Commerce!

Our Financial Literacy Tutor Cythia Reyes has been busy and several students have recently received their Financial Literacy certificates.
